Recurve Field Bows
Shorter than Target Recurve bows the Hunter style Recurve bow is mainly used for Field Archery and Roving or just for pleasure. The modern descendants of the Middle Eastern, Mongolian and Renaissance styles of bow (see page 13). They can be shot with wooden or metal arrows, usually on an instinctive/barebow basis without sights. If a sight is required then Multipin sights are generally used. Bows can be shot using an arrow rest or ‘Off the Shelf’(with feathers).
