Welcome to William Harvey Day

William Harvey Day will showcase some of the best cutting edge research currently underway in Barts and the London, School of Medicine and Dentistry and in our partner NHS Trusts. There will be nine presentations by School researchers, as well as three science “hot topics” presented by leading researchers who have recently joined the School, and three guest lectures. We are delighted that these will be given by Sir Tim Hunt FRS, Nobel Laureate and principal researcher at the Cancer Research UK Clare Hall Laboratories, Professor Sir Mark Walport, Director of the Wellcome Trust and Professor Marcus du Sautoy, Professor for the Public Understanding of Science and Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford. The day will conclude with the Barts and The London NHS Trust’s traditional annual St Luke’s-tide Service in the church of St Bartholomew the Great. I would be delighted if you were able to attend the Service, as this is a traditional and very enjoyable part of the day.

Professor Sir Nicholas Wright Warden, Barts and The London, School of Medicine and Dentistry
