PRIDE FEST
20 25 1-30 JUNE

20 25 1-30 JUNE
Pride Fest enters its second year with an incredible 150 events across 30 days, showcasing the work of over 400 artists. This June promises to be an epic month of entertainment, conversation and, most importantly, community.
Since last year’s festival, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to travel across Australia – and to Edinburgh – in search of acts that are making waves across the festival scene. To now welcome so many of those standout artists to Sydney for Pride Fest, and into the Qtopia Sydney family, is a great honour. Thank you to each of the artists that have come to tell stories – I hope you feel that Qtopia Sydney is your home now too.
We have packed June to the brim with performances, workshops, new exhibitions, panel discussions, podcast recordings, film nights, book launches as part of a literary series, and more.
Globally, Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Riots of June 1969, which sparked the Gay Liberation movement. Here in Australia, June 24 marks the anniversary of the first Mardi Gras in
1978 – a landmark in our own history of protest and pride.
In a world facing rising challenges to equality, Pride Fest is our platform for connection and celebration. It’s where stories are told, identities are honoured and communities come together. With up to five shows a night, 19 exhibitions and a warm welcome waiting for you in every corner of Qtopia Sydney, you can easily make a whole night of it. Join us in Darlinghurst and continue the celebration with our neighbours along Oxford Street for dinner, drinks and a dance!
Our goal isn’t just to hold a festival – it’s to lead one that reflects the best of Queer cultural programming globally. As the largest centre of its kind in the world, Qtopia Sydney is setting the standard, and Pride Fest embodies that vision.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created for Pride Fest 2025, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Carly Fisher Artistic and Programs Director

In addition to our programming for Pride Fest, we have worked with the Department of Education to create a Pride Exclusive Curriculum-Linked Program.
A program that puts June into focus for students. Tracking the development of the Pride movement from Stonewall, to our own 78ers, and through to today, learn more about why we celebrate Pride Month in June. Then, students will participate in an activism and advocacy case study workshop that asks them to consider how they can make positive change out of their passions. Program will finish with a legacy gift activity.
This program can also be conducted as a non-curriculum linked program for Pride groups and schools focused on wellbeing, leadership and inclusion.
Our full suite of Corporate Education programs will also be available throughout the month of June.
