The Wave Hill Walk-Off Route is a place, or series of places, that mark a turning point in Aboriginal rights in Australia. When the Gurindji people walked off the Wave Hill Station on 22 August 1966 in protest of poor pay and working conditions, they were not just undertaking an industrial action. They were taking a stand for the dignity of all Indigenous Australians.

Australia’s Mount Kosciuszko was named after a Polish national hero, General Tadeusz Kościuszko. Its rolling peaks are indicative of the age of the wilderness environments in Australia. These are often vast and replete with drama and have become iconic spaces, national treasures to be protected for future generations to appreciate.
