Ibtihaj Elmorr or Ibty how we all call her has been with us since we officially started the community. She was the first registered member who joined us in October 2013. We were really curious to find out about her experience of being an entrepreneur as our member. Here is the interview with her we had at our market at Katara Art Studios on 7th November 2014. 1. What sort of products do you market?
I design women and toddlers’ t-shirts with patchwork, brooches, shopping bags and home accessories.
2. How does your work differ from others of its genre?
My designs may look similar to other designers’ products but we all differ from each other as each of us have own taste, touch and style.
3. How does your creating process work?

4. Why do you create?

5. When and why did you decide to start your own business?
Two years ago I was invited to the high school reunion in Dubai. I thought of bringing souvenirs for my friends. The reactions were amazing, they all loved them so much. I was at the same time surprised and proud of what I had made. That was when I got an idea to design t-shirts for sale and many of my friends encouraged me to go for it. 8440 & )**5 '6*&8- &3) ,&:* 2= 7*1+ & 1.+* (-&3(* 84 564:* .+ (&3 79((**) 46 348@ #-&30 4) 8-* 6*79187 ;*6* ,44).
6. What's the best thing about setting up your own brand?
It feels great to do something you like and enjoy doing at the same time. Setting up my own brand was the best feeling I have ever had after giving birth to two of my gorgeous kids. It’s an amazing feeling. Specially when I see people liking my designs. It’s like proving to myself that I can be useful & creative.
7. What are some of the challenges you've faced?

8. What do you love about being a QatART member and selling at our handmade markets at Katara?

Honest, sensitive, Â determined, creative and I have big love for everyone no matter of the color, the religion or the title.
11. Whatâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s the best career advice anyone has ever given you?
The best career advice I have ever gotten is never stop believing in your self. It is ok to make mistakes. That is the only way to learn how to make it right.
