Crossing Boundaries Lecture Series The Pursuit Sat 19th: Souq Waqif. Register your team of three for a Mathaf-inspired scavenger hunt. After meeting at a home base to receive instructions, teams will seek locations featuring tokens and using Smartphones to snap and upload photos through Twitter. The first team to correctly catalogue the photos claims a prize! From 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information and to register your team, email mathaf_education@qma.org.qa. Wed 16th: The Atrium at VCUQ. Speaker Bruce Sterling is an American science fiction author, best known for his novels and his work on the Mirrorshades anthology, which helped define the cyberpunk genre. He teaches Internet studies and science fiction at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland and has been the instigator of three projects, ‘The Dead Media Project,’ ‘The Viridian Design Movement’ and ‘Embrace the Decay.’ He won the Hugo Awards for his novelettes Bicycle Repairman and Taklamakan and has also won Clarke and Campbell Awards.
