Beating the Odds: Interview with Khemara Chhorn Part of the Education Above All (EAA) initiative’s many programs, Reach Out to Asia (ROTA) was launched in December 2005 in Doha, Qatar, by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani. Since its inception, ROTA has worked to foster global citizenship among marginalized youth and to build their capacity to contribute to a sustainable future. Over the past 15 years, its programs have reached more than 1.5 million children and youth. To learn more about the program and the positive difference it has made to particpants, QAIC spoke with ROTA alumna Khemara Chhorn, who started her academic journey in a rural Cambodian village before ultimately graduating from Georgetown University in Qatar.
