Of course, this is a purely subjective idea but those who have some fine work on the walls will need to have them lit to perfection. Art lighting is such that it leads the eye to the piece in a very subtle manner and any art lights used should certainly be just the right size for the piece. One thing that many people forget is that once they have hung the painting on the wall, it may not be the best place to find an electrical outlet. Battery operated lamps can be clipped directly onto the surround of the painting and angled to show off the best part of the work. Naturally, any home or office will look wonderful if it is lit in the correct way. People are tending to shy away from the harsh overheads that were the only choice some years ago. Finally, perhaps the one most important place where lamps are necessary is in offices that have certificates or qualifications on show. Members of the public must be able to see who they are dealing with if they are to hire that professional. The portable or cordless lamp will certainly do the job and highlight what the expert wants his prospective client to see very easily.
