semester i : THE INFORMATION CONTAINER THE INFORMATION CONTAINER The main idea of this design was to create a mobile Tourist Information Centre. To fulfil this concept, I utilized a standard 7x2 international shipping container, as its ready-made form provides a compact, affordable yet durable structure that is easy to transport. Modification of the two longer walls of the container was paramount to the design. One of the walls was hinged to create a solar shield, whilst the other acts as a ramp, providing wheelchair access. The walls can thus be closed for transportation. The roof of the container holds a viewing terrace, where clients can gain a better vantage point the surrounding area. This detached house was designed to provide maximum privacy whilst maintaining a fluid connection with its surroundings.Due to the gradient of the site, all the living areas of the structure are located on the lower floor, which is partly underground. The entrance is located on the upper floor of the dwelling, which leads to a private office space constructed from concrete, and is the only visible part of the building which sits above ground level. The entrance is constructed with glass walls and ceiling that provide light for an interior garden space surrounding the stairwell leading to the lower floor, which the inhabitants can utilize to invite nature into the building. A green roof is utilised to reduce the structures visual impact on the surrounding area and to improve privacy for the inhabitants, as well as for its environmental credentials.

The proposed space design maintains the character of the place. The existing brickwork and parquet elements have been retained, however, the interior received a modern flair, which was due to the use of new details and a white finish. The interior of the BWA on this floor has been modernised and divided into three sections, each of them playing a different role. These are: the multimedia, the educational and the meeting areas. The space with tables has been designed in a way allowing it to host both: exhibitions and educational/entertainment events. For this reason it has been divided into two parts: the PRODUCED BY AN AUTODESK EDUCATIONAL PRODUCT multimedia and the educational areas.

SEMESTer IV : THE KOLO KOMPETITION 2012 THE KOLO COMPETITION The designed complex of 75 sq m consists of a restroom, an information point, a kiosk, and a service room. The building was designed to make maximum use of the plot surface without interrupting pedestrian traffic in any way. The form of the building and the materials used correlate fully with the topography and character of the place. Both external and internal concrete walls are coated with polished concrete (by Contractors). This kind of cladding is very easy to keep clean due to the prior impregnation. The most elegant North faรงade is decorated with a system of steel cables that support an evergreen climbing plant. The information point and kiosk surface is closed by a curtain wall (by Raynayers, model CW 50) of duallayered graphite glass. The entire complex is covered by a fluctuating concrete ceiling.

7

The floors are covered with stone tiles (50x50 cm, Alloc Comercial Stone, colour: Graphite). The blind floor will make it easy to install all kinds of sanitary facilities. The ventilation and lighting systems are located in the false ceiling. Toilet doors, walls and tops are coated with high-gloss versicolour laminate. External doors are coated with weather-proof brushed aluminium. The accessible toilet has an automatic sliding door. The building is equipped with an automatic toilet flushing system and a lighting control system, which contributes to energy and water saving.

SEMESTER V: CULTURAL CENTER SUPERVISOR: DR INŻ. ARCH. R. LOEGLER

CULTURAL CENTER The idea was to create a building for the citizens with a maximum surface using its facade as the usable area. From the outside, the building serves as a recreation and sports area. The grassy ramps can be used for an audience of the summer scene. There are also climbing walls , and a summer cinema on the roof of the building. On the lower level, the entire structure is used as a bowl for skateboarding/BMX etc.. In contrast to the elevations of the northern and western wings, users can enjoy the view of vertical gardens. When the building is closed, residents can continue to use the outer space as a“ vertical park “ in the city, where you and your family are always welcome.

9

Inside the building is a moder theatre with more than 200 seats and fully equipped resources; class rooms, workshops, dance and art studios that can accommodate more than 200 students.

SEMESTER vi : MUSEUM OF STANISLAW LEM SUPERVISOR: DR INŻ. ARCH. A. STARZYK

MUSEUM OF STANISŁAW LEM The aim of the project is to adapt a historic tram depot for the Museum of Municipal Engineering in Kraków exhibition purposes. The leitmotiv of the project was the work of Stanisław Lem, a Polish writer of science fiction (Solaris).

South Facade

11

The design was also inspired by the graphics of Daniel Mróz, illustrator of the science fiction books of Stanisław Lem. On one hand, the linearity of his graphics was reflected in the horizontal division of the mirror façade, their minimalism and synthetic depiction, on the other, found their reflection inside the museum, creating an ascetic interior with details playing the main role.

Bachelor’s project : THE ALEKSANDROWICE SPORT AIRPORT SUPERVISOR: DR INŻ. ARCH. A. STARZYK

Bachelor’s project : THE ALEKSANDROWICE SPORT AIRPORT IN BIELSKO-BIAŁA, POLAND Within the framework of my Bachelor’s project I designed the Aleksandrowice Sport Airport in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, housing a museum and educational facilities. The main purpose of the project was to make the Aero Club Bielsko-Biała area more attractive and to modernize the airports infrastructure. The facility’s features correlate with the history of the area and reflect its use as a centre for gliding. Within the building one can find the museum section, dedicated to the history of gliding, educational facilities (incl. functions etc), the hotel section intended for course participants, a café, and the Aero Club administration facilities. Moreover, I made use of the picturesque location of the airport and designed a green roof over the airport building, creating a great viewpoint, from which one can admire the nearby Beskid Mountains and the city panorama. Additionally, the airport features sporting areas, outdoor fitness equipment, as well as pedestrian and bicycle paths, offering accessible recreation possibilities to visitors.

THE HIDDEN WARSAW THE HIDDEN WARSAW Hidden Warsaw is a real-time generated virtual art gallery. This project translates the possibilities of the modern technology into the language of art in the city. This allows to transform the streets of Warsaw into a massive, interactive art gallery, suggesting an alternative role of a street – a gallery space. The project has been inspired by the work of the Varsovian artists of yesteryear and the present day. The users of Hidden Warsaw take part in an adventurous trip with the use of the augmented reality technology in the streets of Warsaw where specially designed space awaits them. After scanning façades of particular buildings, works of Varsovian artists who worked in that particular neighbourhood will be displayed. No sophisticated tools are necessary – a simple mobile device, such as a smart phone or a tablet, will allow you to take this virtual trip. A dedicated application will transform your device into a display on which virtual events will be projected and the built-in camera will be used for visual recognition. FUTUWAWA COMPETITION

THE KOŁO COMPETITION 2016 KOŁO COMPETITION 2016 PUBLIC TOILET IN PLOCK, POLAND. In cooperation with: - Anna Wojtyla The KOLO Competition 2016 was set in the heart of the largest residential complex in Plock, Poland. The main objectives of the competition was to create not only a public toilet, but place of recreation and relaxation for all residents. Building is located on north-south axis which allows to separate it to two parts. Because of that, we were able to integrate local park with design and create more intimate entries to each part of the building.
