VILLAGE DANCERS

Do you have a favorite holiday? Do you have a favorite month of the year? This year’s Village Dancers’ production of “Dancing Along the Holiday Road” will be filled with your favorites! Our tap, jazz, and theater dance instructor, Ellie Oakley, has truly created a wonderful show for you. We’re sure the music and dancing will stir up memories of past holidays and seasons. Needless to say, we are practicing a lot. We have ordered most of our costumes, and they are dazzling! Like every year, our dancers are truly dedicated and spend their own money for these fabulous costumes. This year, Marilee Garcia, our Hawaiian instructor and Sharon Lair, our belly dance instructor, have each choreographed special dances for our show So, please join us for “Dancing Along the Holiday Road.” We know you will be leaving Abravanel Hall dancing and singing too. We will be having two performances both starting at 7:30 pm. The first performance will be Friday, June 27 and the second performance will be Saturday, June 28. The seating will be cabaret style, and wine will be served. Tickets are $15 and will go on sale May 27 in the Galleria at 8 am. Then tickets will be available at the

What our customer

Saying?

“ When the time came for the decision whether to go into an Assisted Living Facility, Nursing Home or to have Live -in Care, we spoke to some facilities and with Access Care. We decided that being in our own home where our memories, memorabilia and one on one care with a caregiver provided by their agency, would be so much more desirable for us. They have given us excellent personal, pleasant care for four years now and we are certain we made the Right Choice”. Thank You Access Care! Sincerely, Robert and Anolyn San Marcos

VILLAGE LINE DANCERS

Did you know? “Older adults who learn new dance steps reduce their risk of dementia by 78%--twice as much as doing crossword puzzles or reading. Dancing’s benefits are due to its ability to boost brain activity and blood flow at the same time.” The previous quote was submitted by Betty Heyer, author unknown. So come dance with us and keep your brain active! The new introductory class on Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30 pm has been very popular with a great attendance. The Level 1 class continues on Mondays from 12:30 to 2 pm and the Level 2 class is held on Tuesdays from 10:30 to 12 pm. These three classes are taught by Christine Alesiani and the cost is $5 a session, except for the introductory class on Thursdays which is $4. A review class, taught by our own Betty Heyer, is on Mondays from 2 to 3:30 pm and there is no charge for this class. Our first line dancing party of the year was so successful and drew almost 100 people, so come join us so that you can participate in the summer party in August.
