In the merry month of May, the Clubhouse is announcing that “Shred Day” is on its way. This event will be held in the Overflow Parking Lot on Saturday, May 17, 10 am to 2 pm. Community Patrol Services (CPS) will again sponsor the event. Residents only will be able to drop off two regular sized boxes of documents for disposal. Community Patrol Services will assist and direct traffic as needed. Thank you to CPS for providing this service for the Community, again, this year. The Chorale Society is holding their annual spring concert on Sunday, May 18 at 2 pm. The array of tunes come from the ’30s in keeping with the 30th Anniversary. The concert is free and refreshments will be served immediately following. Bunco Night is on the docks for Friday, May 16, starting at 6:30 pm. This is back by popular demand and in celebration of the 30th Anniversary. Our host for the evening

will be, Louise Ries, our Event Coordinator. She will certainly provide an evening of antics, laughs and just plain old fun. If you have never played, please buy a ticket for $6.30. It is so easy to learn and even those who consider themselves less cerebral can pick up the game in no time. Food and prizes will be provided. The game calls the players to circulate from table to table, so keep that in mind, as there is a lot of up and down motion throughout the evening. The Oceanside Parade is on Saturday, June 28 and the staff will be working on getting the Clubs organized to participate as sign-ups are be taken at the Front Desk. If there are any individuals that wish to walk down 101 as we share in this year’s theme “Share the Pride” in Oceanside, celebrating the 30th Anniversary, be sure to sign up at the Clubhouse. Everyone will meet in the Overflow Parking Lot to be bussed over to the parade line-up areas. The pool areas have been recently refreshed with paint and the staff has made sure all systems are in proper working order as we head towards summer. With Memorial Day this month, the pool activity begins to increase. Please take notice of the pool rules and remember all guests must be accompanied by a resident. Shower before entering the pool, be respectful of others and swim with a smile! The pool aids that are located in the bins are for everyone to use and return when swim time is over.
