[ENGINEERED LANDSCAPE: BONNET CARRE SPILLWAY] The Bonnet Carre is a single expression of a larger engineered landscape within southern Louisiana. As a response to the 1927 flood, the Army Corps altered the function and form of the river, which has revealed large scale impacts on the regional landscape, particularly land loss in the Mississippi Delta. This study examines the relationship of the spillway to the surrounding environment over time.
