During our p erform a nc es we sha red a b it of the m a g ic a nd wond er tha t our 18 c a st m em b ers, interns, a nd sta ff enjoyed tog ether im a g ining a show to life. Into the Extra ordina ry wa s a world p rem iere p rod uc tion, d evised b y the c a st over two weeks. It a ll sta rted with a q uestion: If d oorwa ys op ened b etween our world a nd m a ny others, wha t m a g ic , m isc hief, a nd m a yhem m ig ht ensue? We a lso wond ered , a s m a ny writers of p orta l fa nta sies d o: Wha t m ig ht c ha ra c ters lea rn throug h the p roc ess of lea ving their own world s a nd visiting a nother? Mig ht they feel a g rea ter sense of b elong ing , of self- a wa reness, b ec a use of they lea rn everything a b out them selves on the a d venture? The p roc ess involved a c hing b a c ks, sp linters in ha nd s, injured a nkles, a nd a lot of hea d - sc ra tc hing a s we tried to fit p la tform s into the weird c revic es of our oc ta g ona l sp a c e. At the c lose of 2022 a g ia nt d elivery truc k p ulled up with ou r n ew c u st om - b u ilt sea t in g risers.
