Exploring Career Options

Ever  wonder  how  community  colleges  work?  Community  colleges  provide  affordable  (about  half  the  price  of  a  4-­year  college),  career  oriented  programs  that  enable  students  to  begin  a  career  after  one  or  two  years  of  study.  A  community  college  can  help  you  begin  your  college  experience  to  continue  at  a  4  year  college  while  working  with  a  2  year  AS  degree  or  college  credit  certificate,  making  more  money.   One-­Year  Programs  allow  the  students  to  specialize  in  a   specific  area.   He/she  receives  a  certificate  or  diploma.     Then  there  are  two-­year  specialized  program  after  which  he/she  will  receive  an  AS  (Associate  in  Science)  degree  in  the  area  of  study  or   Students  complete  the  first  half  of  a  four-­year  degree,  earning  an Â
