scared, and really started to enjoy myself. That day saw the beginning of a long career in making people smile. In all my travels, I have used clowning and orphans, the terminally ill, homeless, bedridden, rich people, poor people, almost everyone. Once, in Australia, I was volunteering with

some friends to help at a camp for cancer kids. The their main focus in on having quality fun, making the kids smile, and helping them to enjoy themselves. Our job was to meet the kids at the airport, load them up onto the hired busses, and keep them happy and entertained all the way to the camp. It amazed me that even though these kids were all suffering from cancer, and most didn’t have too long to live, they weren’t going to let it get them down. They were one of the funniest bunch of kids I’ve spent time with, we sang songs, made balloons, told crazy stories, and laughed all the way to the campsite, which was a little over an hour away. At the end of the day, tired yet content for a job well done, we hopped into a cab for the drive home. A little while later as we were pulling up at a red light, the taxi driver pulled in front of another car, and this car started to honk its horn. At the time I was wearing a police hat, and had a large red nose on my face, so I jumped out of the taxi, and marched over to the car that was beeping at us. I pulled out a whistle and started to blow it loudly, pointing at the car, and stomping around. The car was full of older teens, and the look on their face was priceless, they must have thought it was a policeman who had gone nuts, but then they realized that it was just a joke, and had a good laugh about it. For the next while, this car drove behind us honking its horn, trying to get the crazy cop to come out again for the show. It was a fun ride, and a good ending to an awesome day, though I think the taxi driver was thankful that it was over when she dropped us off. That’s all for today folks. I’ll be seeing you around our school grounds, stop and say hi whenever you like. Oh, did I mention I had 4 kids, and come from family of 11… oh well, guess that’ll have to wait for another day.
