AMANDA JOHNSTON is a lifelong resident of Frederick County. She loves Frederick’s unique history, its friendly residents, and its shops and restaurants. A writer for over 15 years, she most recently served as Assistant Director of the Historical Society of Frederick County, and has been active with Tourism Council of Frederick County. She currently serves as a board member for Celebrate Frederick, and is completing her master’s degree in Marketing from UMUC. She lives with her husband, and their two tween and teen girls.
