The fastest dude to ever come out of Colorado? You bet. U.S. Olympic hopeful David Herman was loving Louisville’s high speeds and big jumps. The Hermanator was hot in his motos, snagged a 3rd in his semi and fizzled with an 8th place score in Friday’s main.

dominated the class with virtual ease. And not to be outdone, Lance’s wife Jill went on to follow in her husband’s footsteps’ winning the 26-34 main and overall No.1 plate. Other famous NBL women taking the titles were the once legendary Cyclecraft rider Melanie Cline (in cruiser) and Jimmy Levan’s sister - Susie. By the end of the weekend, the NBL narrowly escaped any rain delays and every single main event -- from the Rookies to the Challengers, or Expert Boys to Expert Girls, was as exciting as the one before it. The announcing all weekend was great and entertaining; keeping the crowd laughing from Dorsey-inspired one-liners and up to date to the title chases. By the time the gate dropped for the final main event, everybody present had gotten their fill of nonstop BMX racing, and departed for home with great memories of what NBL has stood for up to this point, along with much anticipation on what is to come next year.
