oga and meditation have always been one of the gold standards of alleviating stress to many. The workshop was

Yled by an experienced yoga instructor, Mr. Louis Lim. The purpose of the one hour workshop was to provide knowledge and equip participants with the best methods of yoga and meditation.

Although this virtual experience of yoga and meditation workshop did not feel like the real physical class, it is still ideal to keep us all at the best mental state and at the same time, feel socially connected!

The workshop was divided into 2 parts. In the first part of the workshop, Mr. Louis started by giving a short talk on what is yoga, the benefits of practicing yoga and how it can help people go from feeling “stressed” to “blessed”! He also briefly explained about the “Eight Limbs of Yoga” which includes Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi.

Following the informative talk, he then proceeded to demonstrate Asana, Pranayama and Dhyana which are three out of the eight limbs of yoga as mentioned before. Asana refers to yoga postures, Pranayama refers to breath control and Dhyana refers to meditation.
