HUASTECA CULTURE MUSEUM
Fundado en enero de 1960 el Museo de la Cultura Huasteca se ubica a partir del 2003 dentro de las instalaciones del Espacio Cultural Metropolitano. Posee una importante colección arqueológica y etnográfica de la Cultura Huasteca asegurando por medio de esta exhibición, la identidad regional.
El Museo de la Cultura Huasteca perteneciente a la red de museos del INAH, muestra en sus 12 salas un total de 1839 piezas que relatan la historia de esta cultura heredera de los grupos étnicos teneek, nahuas, pames, otomíes y tepehuas. La mayor parte de su acervo proviene de hallazgos en Tamaulipas, Veracruz y San Luis Potosí así como material en custodia de particulares y piezas etnográficas modernas, que describen la región geográfica en donde se establecieron y conceptos que incluyen vida y fertilidad, arte, vida después de la muerte, cosmovisión, vida cotidiana, cuerpo y adorno, trabajo, espacio sagrado, mitología, tradición oral y patrimonio huasteco.

Founded in January 1960, the Museo de la Cultura Huasteca (Huasteca Culture Museum) is located since 2003 within the facilities of the Metropolitan Cultural space. It has an important archaeological and ethnographic collection of the Huasteca culture ensuring, through this exhibition, the regional identity. The Huasteca Culture Museum belonging to the network of museums of the INAH, exhibits in its 12 rooms, a total of 1839 pieces that tell the story of this culture inherited from the ethnic cultures: teneek, nahuas, pames, otomíes and tepehuas. Most of its collection comes from findings in Tamaulipas, Veracruz and San Luis Potosí as well as material in the custody of private individuals and modern ethnographic pieces, that describe the geographical region where they settled and concepts, including life and fertility, art, life after death, cosmovision, daily life, body and ornaments, work, sacred space, mythology, oral tradition and heritage of the Huasteca culture.
