Lakewood Loves Its Volunteers The City of Lakewood Heritage, Culture & the Arts volunteers serve in key capacities at the Lakewood Cultural Center, Lakewood Heritage Center and Washington Heights Arts Center. During 2012, 172 volunteers served a total of 14,223 hours for a dollar value of $310,772. On April 16, 2013, more than 50 dedicated volunteers were recognized for their time, service and expertise during the past year at a special appreciation dinner. In addition to celebrating the many accomplishments of the volunteers, site awards were presented to honor a volunteer from each location.
