Dear Friends, Fall brings change. The Gardens is no exception. We say thank you to Michelle Peterson who recently stepped down from being president for all her hard work while in office. This month we take time to appreciate what we have and are grateful for the continued support of our members and volunteers who have been returning to the Gardens. We would also like to thank the city of Port St. Lucie for the updated conference room/kitchenette and the addition of electric accessibility throughout the garden that the city has installed. These improvements help us continue our expansion of events for the future. The weather is improving now which makes it an ideal time to get out into the garden and tackle those weeds that have been adding up all summer. The Botanical Gardens has it’s share too. We are always looking to welcome new and former volunteers for helping in the garden rooms or inside the pavilion as a greater or gift shop person. Shielding and safety protocols are in place for inside spots. Activities are returning with protocols in place too. Please join us for our annual Delights of December Plant and Gift Sale at The Gardens on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 9am to 1pm. We will have specials in our Gardens and Gift Shop for all to enjoy. Then, the new year brings the much-needed airing out with the second annual Art Show out in the garden on January 2nd & 3rd. Florida Arbor Day is January 15th. Come and join us out in the garden as we celebrate mother nature and the importance of trees in our lives. We will be re-visiting our first Arbor Day tree here at the Gardens marking our ten-year anniversary. Program Dedications are available and will be read aloud during the ceremony. Looking further into the new year, Botanica Garden Festival and plant sale will be February 13th & 14th.

All events will have social distancing. As we celebrate the upcoming of Holidays, we are thankful for you all, and hope to see you at the Gardens very soon.

Heather Furnari President
