to registrar L b. mathews for twenty-five years of loyal service to our school and to mrs. mathews for her unselfish and energetic interest in the students. we dedicate the 1951 peruvian. both mr. and mrs. mathews have demon路 strated their ability to make lasting hiendships with the students and have gained the respect and admiration of those with whom they have worked. mr. mathews received a b.a. from nebraska in 1920 and an m.a. from columbia in 1924.
in 1927 he became principal of the peru training school and continued also as supervisor of student teaching until 1948 whe n he became registrar of our college. in 1950 he was named head of the placement bureau. mrs. mathews received an a .b . from nebraska in 1924 and began her work on our campus in 1944 as science instructor at the training school. in 1947 she was named college health education coordinator for the kellogg foundation and later instigated the well child clinic.
