TELLING THE STORY OF THE HOLY LAND
Il progetto si inserisce in una serie di iniziative promosse dalla Custodia di Terra Santa volte a conservare le “pietre della memoria” e a sostenere le “pietre vive” della Terra Santa.
This project is part of a series of the Custody of the Holy Land’s initiatives aimed at preserving the ‘stones of memory’ and supporting the ‘living stones’ of the Holy Land.

Nel 2011 è terminata la fase di progettazione di un moderno
centro museale cristiano
nella città vecchia di Gerusalemme con approfondimenti archeologici e storici sui Luoghi Santi e sulla storia dei frati minori francescani in Terra Santa. L’attività è stata realizzata in collaborazione con uno staff di museologi e architetti italiani di fama internazionale e con lo Studium Biblicum Franciscanum, coordinato da padre Eugenio Alliata, professore di archeologia paleocristiana, direttore dell’attuale museo archeologico della Custodia di Terra Santa.

In 2011, plans for a modern
Christian museum centre in
Jerusalem’s Old Town were completed. The centre will include sections on the history and archaeology of Holy Sites, as well as the Franciscans’ history in the Holy Land.
Planning and design was carried out in collaboration with internationally renowned Italian museologists and architects and the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum, coordinated by Father Eugenio Alliata, Professor of paleochristian archaeology and Director of the Archaeological Museum of the Custody of the Holy Land.
