Company Description ProStar Holdings, Inc. develops geospatial intelligence software utilizing a patented cloud and mobile mapping software application, called PointMan, that captures, records, and displays the precise location and associated metadata to the critical surface and subsurface infrastructure. ProStar, headquartered in Grand Junction, Colorado, went public in early 2021.
Today, in the United States, we spend approximately $10 billion annually to locate 35 million miles of underground pipelines and utilities. Despite the best intentions, damage to the U.S. economy is estimated at $30 billion annually, as underground utility assets get seriously damaged from construction activity. Damage to underground utility assets causes electrical and communication services to get lost, water services to get disrupted, and gaseous substances to get released into the environment. In worst-case scenarios, there are serious injuries or loss of life. ProStar’s flagship product, PointMan, is designed to significantly improve the workflow processes and business practices associated with the lifecycle management of critical infrastructure assets, both above and below the Earth’s surface. PointMan is offered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud and mobile platform. PointMan seamlessly connects the field with the office and provides the ability to precisely capture, record, display, and manage critical infrastructure, including roads, railways, pipelines, and utilities. Some of the largest entities in North America have adopted ProStar’s solutions, including Fortune 500 construction firms, Subsurface Utilities Engineering (SUE) firms, utility owners, municipalities, and government agencies. ProStar has strategic business partnerships with the world’s leading geospatial technology providers, data collection equipment manufacturers, and their dealer networks, including Trimble® Juniper® Systems, Bad Elf, Vivax-Metrotech, Radiodetection®, and Subsite® Electronics. The Company has made a significant investment in creating a vast intellectual property portfolio which includes 20 issued patents in the United States and Canada. The patents protect the methods and systems required to digitally capture, record, organize, manage, distribute, and display the precise location of critical infrastructure, including buried utilities and pipelines. ProStar’s executive management team has extensive experience managing early stage and Fortune 500 technology companies in private and public sectors. The leadership team includes Page Tucker, who has over 25 years experience in developing data management and GIS solutions; Vasa Dasan, the former CTO of Sun Microsystems; Jason Martschuck, Application Sales Manager for Oracle’s Construction & Engineering Global Business Units; and Matthew Breman, a prior executive at Disney. In a company presentation released by the company in October 2021, they are forecasting Annual Recurring Revenues (ARR) of approximately CAD $1.3 million in 2021, growing to CAD $4.7 million in 2022 (see page 12).
