We were so young, so hopeful, so dumb Embracing the moonlight and dodging the sun Remember Gardena? Remember the sunsets? Under those painted skies, words better thought of than said? The world was confusing, but those moments made sense Finally understanding, or at least we’d pretend Endlessly wondering where all that time went Days gone, when we couldn’t see past the moment You said it was “God sent”... whatever that meant Caught up in those memories, so naively believing That we’d turn out fine, but those moments were fleeting
