The training program is based around SERES’ 3-day youth empowerment and environmental leadership program “Youth Leaders for the Pachamama”. It has been designed as a hands-on/hearts-on program, giving participants the opportunity to experience first-hand the powerful transformational ability of this process. It will also develop an understanding of the facilitation skills that underpin this process and are essential for achieving the transformative leadership that is necessary at all levels of society today.

PROGRAM FEES The SERES facilitator training cost is USD450 per person. This includes all training materials, 3 fresh vegetarian meals per day (from lunchtime Sunday until breakfast Friday) and accommodation. Your program fee will also provide a scholarship for a local youth facilitator to participate in a Spanish facilitator training program to be held later in the year.

About the Facilitators… from corporate investment banking to grassroots startup organizations.

Corrina Grace founded SERES in 2009, a “social-benefit” initiative based in Guatemala which works to foster the emergence of sustainable, thriving and bio-culturally diverse communities by engaging, educating and empowering them to become leaders of positive change. An engineer, social entrepreneur, life coach and dynamic change agent, Corrina’s experience ranges

In her work, Corrina brings the diversity of her experience, her passion and her drive to bear on what she believes is one of the most critical issues today: reframing the development paradigm and using leadership, empowerment and collaboration as the tools to drive the multi-level, multi-sector change that the world so desperately needs.

Sherry made a conscious decision not to "retire" but to "evolve" and is more sure everyday it was a great decision. Sherry lives in Antigua, Guatemala and after nine years as

director of Colegio Maya, the American International School of Guatemala, has gotten more involved in sharing Appreciative Inquiry as an empowering change rubric with schools, boards and others interested in creating the future instead of being overwhelmed by it. She helped design a facilitation/consulting initiative, Empowerment Unlimited, and loves being on the Seres board.

About the Youth Leaders programs… The energy and creative ideas of youth – when given a voice and a safe place to express them – are truly incredible. Youth Leaders for the Pachamama (YLP) and Youth Leading the World (YLTW) are two congresses that are part of a bold new initiative that seeks to accelerate change by building a movement of inspired leaders, working with young people to empower them to become change-makers within their own communities.

About YLTW YLTW is an award-winning program that was developed by Australian environmental organization OzGREEN. The program is an annual 3-day leadership congress that is

conducted in multiple locations around the world at the same time. In 2012, the YLTW congresses were run in over 50 regions across Australia and globally, reaching an estimated 2,500 young people.

About YLP YLP was born out of the YLTW and developed by SERES in Guatemala in response to the disempowerment and lack of adequate head/heart leadership seen amongst young people. Using the same process as YLTW, it places a greater focus on inspiring leadership and facilitating the emergence of change-makers that are willing to lead their communities into a healthy, thriving future.
