Gallery 7 November – 25 January 11am – 8pm Admission Free

The gallery has been home to five sculptures, provocative hybrids of form and function, useful things and purposeless things. These are Céline Condorelli’s Additionals, the structures that resulted from the artist’s collaboration with Cornelius Cardew’s score The Tiger’s Mind, and now the cast of theatre artists The Company’s work-indevelopment at Project Arts Centre. To better know Additionals, The Company began by pirating, creating their own versions of the art objects, followed by staging theatrical spectacles in the gallery delving into the Additionals dramatic potential. Through enabling visitors to the gallery to record their own audio tour of Additionals, The Company have played with the construction of an institutional voice and the affects this holds on the structures of meaning. This collection of tours was then made available to the public and sparked the creation of a series of short films shot during a week long inhabitation of the gallery space. These films will be screened in the gallery alongside Additionals throughout the day from 12pm on 18 January.

LOTUSEATER by Aoibheann Greenan

www.projectartscentre.ie

Cube 10 January 11am – 8pm €10

LotusEater is a one night performance event, presenting a collaboration between artist Aoibheann Greenan and Dublin based band, LotusEater. This event will transform the Cube into an experiential environment in which the five piece trip/rock band will become part of Greenan’s sculptures, using them as their props and costumes during the gig, becoming hybrids of myth and culture. Greenan’s incorporation of live music into her sculptural practice taps into music’s frequent place at the forefront of mass cultural shifts.

EVA KOTÁTKOVÁ & DOMINIK LANG

www.projectartscentre.ie

Gallery 7 February – 14 April 11am – 8pm Admission Free

An exhibition of newly commissioned work, and an exciting first time collaboration between Czech artists Eva Kotátková and Dominik Lang. Both artists are stimulated by observations and histories of institutional activity – be they institutions of education, psychiatry, or art. Kotátková and Lang will be making a new installation by bringing together the mutually hospitable threads in their practices, and building onsite, following an intensive IMMA Production Residency, a fragmented collage of an institutional model to encompass the entirety of the gallery space. With warm thanks to the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ireland, and the gallery Hunt Kastner in Prague for supporting this unique and artistically groundbreaking exhibition between two celebrated contemporary artists.

THE THEATRE OF SPEAKING OBJECTS

Eva Kotátková

Cube 23 January – 9 February 11am – 8pm Admission Free

In this haunting and immersive installation in our Cube theatre by Czech artist Eva Kotátkova, each sculpture, made from worn objects and items of furniture, comes to life to reveal anonymous stories of exclusion and isolation. The anonymity of the sculptural objects allow them to speak for their owners, giving a voice to those affected by failed societal systems and social structures. With warm thanks to the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ireland, and the gallery Hunt Kastner in Prague.

Coffee like no other Coffee of the highest order, coffee that delights: this is illy’s mission, passion and obsession. A simple idea created through complex means: eight decades of experience; unmatched knowledge of coffee biology and chemistry; unrivalled skill at roasting; the pioneering of innovative, enabling technologies; and a family’s entrepreneurial passion. There is a taste, a feel, an aroma that is all illy’s own. Velvety, immediately sweet, delicately balancing floral and fruity notes with caramel, toast and chocolate, naturally fragrant with aromas of almond and honey. You just might hold the sugar, for the very first time. This is balance that comes only from a blend: the singular illy blend of nine highest-order Arabica beans, selected and directly purchased by illy from farms spanning four continents. Each individual bean contributing to a greater whole, for the pleasure of those who appreciate all that coffee can and should be. In the cup, the illy blend becomes a symphony: rich, full, multi-faceted, yet subtle, comprised of immensely talented soloists, each coaxed to their finest performance under the hand of an expert conductor. Food Solutions are the Irish distributors of illy. www.coffee-ireland.com
