Международная электротехническая комиссия — это организация по стандартизации в области электротехники и электроники, основанная в 1906 г. МЭК состоит из представителей национальных служб стандартов, Россия (как правопреемник СССР) является частью МЭК с 1922 г. МЭК способствовала развитию и распространению стандартов для единиц измерения, в первую очередь гаусса, герца, и вебера, предложила систему стандартов, которая вошла в систему единиц СИ. Digitalization of the Power System Based on International Standards Interview with Christoph Brunner, well known expert of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on the IEC‑61850 standard (“Networks and Communication Systems in Substations”), Chairman of working group 10 of IEC 57 Technical Committee, President of It4power, an electric energy consulting company, Switzerland. Christophe Brunner is an adviser to the international organization UCA International Users Group which accredits compliance with IEC standards, a specialist with more than 30 years of experience in the energy and automation sectors. The International Electrotechnical Commission is an international standards organization in the field of electrical engineering and electronics, founded in 1906. The IEC consists of representatives of national standards services, Russia (as the assignee of the USSR) has been a part of the IEC since 1922. The IEC has contributed to the development and dissemination of standards for units of measure, first of all Gauss, Hertz, and Weber, proposed a system of standards which was included in the International System of Units.
