Capuchin Father Harold Snider, right, who has formerly served as a parochial vicar at OLA and who entered the Capuchins from the Burlingame parish in 1981, assumed duties as new pastor on June 1st. "My roots are in this parish ," Father Harold said. "If there 's any place in our Province that I would be at home , it's among the peop le of Our Lady of Angels in Burlingame. " Father Harold celebrated his 14th year as a priest on June 10th.

Still witty and wise, when I told him we might be calling on his knowledge of the Archdiocese during the sesquicentennial , he said, "Well, I haven 't been around for 150 years but I can tell you about most of it." Carmel, Redwood City. While the history of the more famous Irish who have left their mark on the Peninsula, including silver king James Flood and Gen. Patrick Connor, is well known, Jim wants to hear about the less famous. "We'd like to hear about those who devoted their lives to their families," Jim said. Father Donald D'Angelo grew up in Holy Name of Jesus, was ordained there by Archbishop Joseph McGucken in 1968, and has shepherded the Sunset District parish as pastor for the last four years.
