AND THE WINNERS ARE….

Rather than take the opinions of a panel of industry judges, the PSi Premier Awards seeks its list of finalists, and ultimately its winners, from the people who buy and install security equipment. Because of this, the Awards are genuine notices of approval from the security industry and each of the companies that reached the final stage of the campaign should rightly be proud of their achievement. This year saw over 3,000 voters take part in the campaign.

This is why the glorious Warren Weir at Luton Hoo was a buzz of excitement in September as the winners of this year’s awards campaign were announced by guest speaker television personality Shaun Williamson and PSi editor Andy Clutton followed by a casino night.

And so without further ado, let us now reveal the winners:

ACCESS CONTROL PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 2021 Honeywell – MAXPRO Access MPA1

Honeywell’s Smart Edge Single Door Controller MPA1 provides Cloud based and Web based access control solutions. The POE powered controller is easy to install anywhere there is an Ethernet or Internet connection. INTRUDER PRODUCT OF THE YEAR Winner: Enforcer V10 – Pyronix

At this year’s Awards Dinner the Intruder Product of the Year for 2021 as voted for by installers was announced as the Enforcer V10 panel

The DS-2CD2087G2-LU Pro Series Mini Bullet with 8MP and ColorVu technology is a mini-marvel, pairing its small form factor with powerful cutting edge features – an accessible, performance-orientated device designed to make end user systems as effective and efficient as possible, both in detecting threats and in searching for evidence.

The camera features high-quality, 8MP resolution for detail-packed pictures, along with ColorVu technology for 24/7 full colour images in even the darkest of lighting conditions. Cameras with ColorVu technology employ advanced F1.0 lenses and high-performance sensors. That F1.0 super aperture collects more light to produce brighter images: four times the amount of light as a conventional camera. Its advanced sensor improves the utilisation of the available light, with self-adaptive 3D Digital Noise Reduction removing noise and ensuring full motion video. It can capture full colour images down to as low as 0.0005 lux and has a smart supplemental white light for zero-light conditions.

It also includes AcuSense technology for automatic human and vehicle target classification and reduced false alarms, as well as an in-built microphone for real-time audio security.

The Pro Series Mini Bullet Camera makes the most of its transmission capabilities by using efficient H.265+ compression technology to provide high-quality images while preserving bandwidth, and offers up to 256GB of local storage if required. The camera’s 130dB WDR technology means clear pictures can be obtained even in strongly backlit scenes. It is IP67-rated water and dust-resistant.

Amazingly, this is the sixth year running that Hikvision has won the coveted CCTV Product of the Year Award in the PSI Premier Awards. TRAINING AWARD 2021 WINNER:Dahua Virtual Innovation Centre

The winner of the dedicated training award in this year’s PSI Premier Awards was an innovation that allowed installers to view Dahua’s latest technology in a virtual environment

Designed to make up for the absence of face-to-face meetings and events during the pandemic, Dahua Technology launched its Virtual Innovation Centre in 2021. The system takes visitors on a virtual walkthrough around a large showroom to see Dahua’s latest product and technology innovations and gives them the opportunity to interact with various displays and download further information.

Visitors can select an automatic tour of the entire showroom to get an overview on what is on offer, with the option of stopping at particular exhibits to drill down to the level of detail they require. Alternatively, visitors can navigate at their own pace, stopping off wherever they like.

The centre supports installers in designing the latest security systems for their customers, giving them a single destination to gather all the knowledge and resources they’ll need.

Users can visit the site either by web address or by scanning a QR code whenever suits them, and there is no limit to the number of times it can be accessed.
