Entry systems can alert remote tenants via phones
The MT-88 and MT-88-Plus telephone entry systems from Tador UK are based on dual tone multi frequency (DTMF). The units are connected to a telephone line which is used to alert tenants to visitors and allowing them to talk and open the door from any telephone in the building, or via their mobile phone supporting both 3G and 4G. The weather resistant units come in two options, one with two-line LCD and the second featuring a four-line LCD screen. Working with standard sim cards on contract or prepay the system dials up to three phone numbers per family on roll over (for the MT88-Plus model).
The MT-88-Plus unit also boasts a proximity reader capable working with up to 3,000 cards while both anodized aluminium, anti-vandal models come in surface or flush mount installation options.

Single box off-grid power solution for security
PowerBox365, available from Orbit Solution, is a single box system for monitored powering solutions for environments that are often remote and/or without a permanent power source such as mobile CCTV or light towers. The box accepts multiple inputs such as mains (both 240V/110V), solar, bio-fuel outputs and battery and will switch between the power sources dynamically to give the best efficiency and therefore runtime of a system. This will also ensure optimum battery charging/discharging and monitoring.
The system boasts Automatic Phased shut down on power loss or to conserve energy to user defined levels and comes in various sizes and capacities. It will also be customised and amended to suit specific requirements.
Additional features of PowerBox365 include an optional local/small generator which can be provided to extend the run time for when solar energy is limited.

The security industry is busy and complex, so it’s easy to miss new products and services as they get lost in day-to-day activities. Every now and again, certain products grab our attention so here we take a look at a few of the products we think you won’t want to miss this month.
NDAA compliant cameras launched
The NDAA line-up of cameras from IDIS now includes a range of 2MP, 5MP, and 8MP camera models. The new line up gives the benefits of IDIS’s signature DirectIP plug-and-play connection to a choice of NVRs or servers, and comes with IR, true WDR, IDIS Smart Failover, and alarm in/out, with options for two-way audio and vandal resistance.
For the growing number of projects which now require compliance with section 889 of the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act, the Koreanmade cameras offers an alternative project route.
The stringent requirements of the NDAA together with growing concerns about the manufacturing origin of video equipment, is already starting to influence applications not just in the U.S. but in markets including Europe, the Middle East, Australasia, and parts of Asia.

Pyronix has launched its all-in-one security solution, the Enforcer V11, with Pyronix AndroidTablet, HomeControlHUB app and SmartPlug to incorporate security, automation and video in one platform, accessed via the tablet interface.
The V11 platform is a hardware and software upgrade to the Enforcer range of control panels, which brings with it a number of new elements. It adds the ability to use the new Pyronix Touchscreen Tablet Control Station that is based on the 10-inch Pyronix AndroidTablet combined with the new dedicated HomeControlHUB app. The Touchscreen Tablet Control Station is connected to the local network via the Wi-Fi communicator and becomes a local programming tool and user interface to the home or business owners’ system, with the ability to not only control the Enforcer, but also the user’s camera system and SmartPlugs from one unified experience. The Enforcer V11 hardware allows two paths of communication with the Wi-Fi module built on-board, and optional second communication module. This therefore allows for simultaneous messaging to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and app via separate paths.
Installation is also enhanced, with a WPS button that means pairing the panel with the router can be done with the push of a button. The Pyronix Touch Screen Tablet Control Station connects over the local Wi-Fi network, providing a secure and encrypted local connection to the panel even when the internet connection is interrupted. pyronix.com
