Surfing
The Barbados Surfing Association (BSA) is the national governing body for all forms of surfing in Barbados. The BSA is focused on improving the level of surfing on the island and to continue to increase interest in the sport in Barbados. Recent achievements include Chelsea Tuach placing 4th at the 2013 International Surfing Association’s World Junior Championship and winning the North-American Junior Tour for professionals. The 2016 Surfer of the Year Series was hosted at the Soup Bowl Bathsheba on 10th December.

Chelsea is ranked 76 in the World Surf League rankings. In 2016, she won the Women’s Open at the Independence Pro in December. She is a bright surfer and is always helpful in community events.
Bruce finished 11th at ISA World Surfing Games and is ranked in the top 200 in the World Surf League Qualifying Series. In 2016, Bruce won our Surfer of the Year Championships and was 2015 Barbados National Champion.
