Tales of an Urban Indian

8

Have you ever tried to discern the difference between imagination and reality? Hop aboard and let yourself be whisked away into a theatrical performance that takes place on a moving bus. Tales of An Urban Indian, written by Darrell Dennis, is the story of Simon Douglas: a contemporary First Nations male, who was born in the 1970s, and raised both on the reserve and in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is a play about a kid growing up told entirely from a personal perspective. Tales of an Urban Indian conjures up an array of characters that come in and out of Simon’s life as seen through his eyes – but will all be played by one actor, Craig Lauzon. Staged on a moving transit bus, whilst visiting locations described in

the story, this play is a unique and unforgettable theatrical experience. Prismatic 2018 is delighted to debut Tales of an Urban Indian on the East Coast.
