The band can be heard each week performing the theme music to Music Scene SDTV • Dizzy’s jazz club, where the music matters has reopened, notably with a Joshua White monthly residency. • 70’s era punk band, The Cardiac Kidz, have a new 7” vinyl single out, “Mary Young” b/w “Bit Of Your Love,” with the Jim Ryan Project, featuring the band’s frontman also recently issuing a new album, 2.0 • Classic rock fans won’t want to miss a tribute band double feature on August 28 at the Quartyard. On hand will be the Doors Concert Experience by Strange Days and Clapton Hook paying homage to the music of Cream. • Former Eagles guitarist Don Felder plays a benefit concert for Serving Seniors October 2 at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. • Residency News: Lady Dottie & The Diamonds will be performing at the Casbah every Monday night. days with Black Market III. • Sande Lollis of Enter the Blue Sky is working on her solo debut album with Jeff Berkley at the board. Amongst the musicians included are Josh Hermsmeier (drums), Rick Nash (bass,) Ted Stern (pedal steel), Josh Weinstein (keyboards). • Combining Mardi Gras and Halloween, The Hallo Gras Cruise sails around Mission Bay on October 22. Music on board will include JW-Jones, The Farmers, The Sleepwalkers, Whitney Shay, the Euphoria Brass Band, Safety Orange, Ben Powell, and Robin Henkel • Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus makes a guest appearance on the new single from Arrested Youth, “Find My Own Way.” • The Casbah’s Ben Johnson has a book release event on September 25 at Verbatim Books (4-7 p.m.) The celebration spotlights Johnson’s latest, “Children of the Web,” book three of the Webworld Trilogy • Meanwhile Chloe Lou & The Liddells are seven tracks into a new album over at Studio West, with Chris Davies (The Penetrators), Peter Meisner (The Craw-

taking place at the famed Paradiso Theatre in the Netherlands. • 1960’s hitmaker Gary Puckett joins the “Happy Together Tour” for dates through August 29 in Deadwood, South Dakota. Tour mates include The Turtles, The Association, The Cowsills, The Classics IV and The Vogues. • A Halloween tradition returns! Rocket From The Crypt will perform a special show at the Observatory on October 29. RFTC’s Halloween shows have become the stuff of legend – don’t miss out! • Rockers Stone Horse, featuring singer Danielle Spade, have filmed a music video for their song, “The Fastest Jack,” in support of their new album, Stone Horse IV at the infamous Cheers Bar in Ramona, Ca. • Encinitas based Surfdog Records has just released Glen Campbell – Live From the Troubadour on vinyl and CD. The features Campbell’s final performance recorded live at the legendary Sunset Strip venue on August 19, 2008 • The Tourmaliners release their latest single, “Stolen Dance” on Aug 20. The release will be accompanied by a music video filmed on location at Tourmaline Surf Park and at area SD businesses such as Bird’s Surf Shed, Leilani’s Hawaiian Cafe and Tio Leos Lounge.
