Reindeer Roundup

the holidays are here!!

but it looks a little different this year...

The annual Burlington CHRISTMAS PARADE, DOWNTOWN HOLIDAY MAGIC EVENT & CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK event are all cherished Burlington traditions that have recently been evaluated by staff for the ability to host the events and comply with COVID-19 prevention guidelines. Unfortunately, these traditional events must be CANCELLED for 2020 due to the volume of participants and attendees, greatly exceeding the current outdoor mass gathering restriction of 50 people.

BUT the holidays will not pass by without offerings of family-friendly experiences for you to enjoy. There ARE TWO holiday events planned that will allow us all to celebrate the season safely. B-town Events will provide a safe and fun experience for the community to celebrate the holidays, involving limited group gathering and interactions.

SCAVENGER HUNT DETAILS Find Santa's mischievous reindeer hiding around Downtown Burlington in the windows of participating businesses beginning on December 4th during the D-town B-town Bat Hunt. This scavenger hunt encourages you to explore Downtown Burlington on your own time.

THE SCOOP ON HOW THE SCAVENGER HUNT WILL RUN: • Participants need to find at least 20 reindeer around the windows in Downtown Burlington. • Participants can utilize the printable Scavenger Hunt card that will be available on our website and Facebook page OR they can pick up a copy at the downtown Historic Depot. A handful of copies can also be provided (by request) to business owners. • Return scavenger hunt findings to the labeled mailbox in front of the Historic Depot. • All completed scavenger hunts will be entered to win holiday goodie bags!

More details and access to the scavenger hunt cards will be available leading up to the start of the event on December 4th.

Please adhere to the 3W’s when visiting the kick-off & venturing downtown:

• Wear a cloth mask over your nose and mouth • Wait 6 feet apart — avoid close contact • Wash your hands as often as needed or use hand sanitizer
