March 27, 4 p.m. Staged Reading: “Hallie” — The Poquelin Players (Derry Light, Tom Stevenson, Dan Siegel and Dick Swain) present the premiere reading of this play by Susan Quinn and Dan Jacobs about Hallie Flanagan, director of the Federal Theatre Project of the Works Project Administration. Quinn is the author of the book “Furious Improvisation: How the WPA and a Cast of Thousands Made High Art out of Desperate Times.” The new play brings to life this important period in American theater history.
