Morgan Weed ’03 as Tink and Human Services (DHHS), Departmental Appeals Board, Medicare Operations Division. She earned her law degree at The George Washington University and received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.” From Allison: Hey everyone! The 10th reunion was a big success and from those that went I heard it was a blast. Nick Perold wrote: “It was truly a pleasure seeing so many of my ’03 classmates at our recent 10-year reunion! The event, the people, and the stories reminded me once again that PDS is an incredibly special place." I was lucky to spend my summer having some PDS reunions at the weddings of Emily Hamlin and Katie Weber. Many classmates were in attendance at both, including Eleanor Oakes, Daniella Gold, John Patteson ’02, Elif Sen ’02, Daniel Mykytyn ’02, Dorian Batt ’02, Patrick Southern ’02, and Noah Fisher. In addition to attending these great weddings with me, and after graduating Yale Law School, Alyssa Briody spent most of the summer studying for the Louisiana Bar. Brian Smith wrote: “I moved to Los Angeles this summer to pursue television development,

after six years working in New York producing shows on Broadway and downtown. Most recently, I produced this year’s Tony-winning Best Musical Kinky Boots. I had such a great time this spring in Princeton catching up with everyone at our 10-year reunion, and celebrating Erich & Jackie Hatala Matthes' wedding the weekend before. If you're ever in LA give me a shout!” Morgan Weed had an amazing summer learning how to fly at the Dallas Theater Center, where she played Tink in the World-Premiere of the new musical, FLY, directed by three-time Tony Award Winner, Jeffrey Seller. James Ramos wrote: “We have had a great summer so far. From a trip to San Francisco during which we spent time with Allison Marshall, to time in Fripp Island, SC with my wife’s family, it has been a whirlwind. We had a great time catching up with old friends at the Young Alumni Happy Hour at the NYC Boat Basin and are excited for spending the rest of summer with family and friends in Hoboken." Erich Matthes wrote: “Hello, ’03! It’s been about six years since my last update, so here goes. I got married on May 11, 2013 to Jaclyn Hatala Matthes, who I met during graduate school at Berkeley (I've taken her last name as my middle name, so I'm now Erich Hatala Matthes!). We had a wonderful wedding at the Mountain Lakes House in Princeton. PDSers in attendance included: Thomas Bohnett ’02,

Graeme Blair ’02, Brian Smith, Michael Highland, Justin Revelle, Anita Deshpande, Bianca Gersten, Brett Downey Riggle ’04 and Liz Cutler (faculty). In addition to getting married, we ended up cramming a bunch of other major life-events together. The week before the wedding we filed our doctoral dissertations at Berkeley (mine in philosophy, hers in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management), and moved out of our apartment. For the moment, we’ve relocated to Brookline, MA, where we’re both starting our first academic jobs. As of July 1, I’m an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Wellesley College, and Jackie is a postdoctoral researcher at Boston University. Next year, though, we’ll be moving up to the Hanover, NH area, where Jackie will start a job as Assistant Professor of Geography at Dartmouth. We're hoping to get a place on a lake or in the mountains so we can really take advantage of the area. We'll keep a small apartment in the Boston area to cut down on my commuting. These are really dream jobs for both of us, so we’re super excited and grateful to everyone who’s supported us during the long slog of grad school. Jackie’s teaching and research will focus on global environmental change, and I'll be researching and teaching courses in various aspects of ethical theory and philosophy of art. We were very sorry to miss the 10th reunion, but my sister was graduating from college the same weekend. Hope to see everyone at the 15th!” Michael Highland wrote: “Life in LA is pretty much as I expected: an endless parade of sunshine, farmer's markets, and bikini-clad rollerbladers. There is also volleyball 24 hours a day. Thankfully, my job making video games helps to keep me firmly grounded in reality. Without that sense of purpose, I’m not sure what I would do... most likely volleyball. I’m happy to say my fiancee Chrissy has really embraced the SoCal lifestyle. Unfortunately, her diet of raw kale smoothies has done little to curb her brash Philly attitude. Nathaniel Halpern ’02 recently made a cameo in my life, we spent a lovely afternoon birding together. Much love to all my East Coast homies, please come visit.” Ben Johnson wrote: “Hey all, not much new to add this year but was guilted into writing something by Allison Marshall... I'm still living in New York and recently took a job at a start-up called Tough Mudder where I'm running the communications team. When I'm not at work convincing people to let us electrocute/freeze/ exhaust them, I spend most of my free time biking or running around the city and trying to catch up with old friends. I’m lucky enough to still see a lot of James Ramos and his wife in Hoboken, and have a long trip planned to the West Coast later this year where I hope to see many more of you. If you’re ever in New York, I’m always up for catching up over good beer, and I hope everyone else is doing well.” Joanna Bowen sent news that after five years working in Campus Ministry at Villanova University, she has accepted a position to be the Director of the Augustinian Volunteers.
