Isheeta, a celebrated performer in India, sang at the esteemed Rubin Museum. Isheeta was wonderful to listen to and still commanded the same presence she did during high school. Her music weaves together Indian folk-pop, classical, lounge, elektronika, and Rabindrasangeet (the music of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore) in an unprecedented manner. We gathered from opposite ends of the earth and found our lives had taken us in vastly different directions. However, we (me, Isheeta, Rebecca Dickson, Debbie Klein Geller, Timory Howe Ridall, and Kysha White) all felt like we last saw each other just yesterday in the senior lounge. Despite not having seen each other in 20 years we spent the evening laughing and reminiscing about our PDS days. Inspired by our 23rd reunion, Isheeta and I (Debby Bushell Gans) decided to hold a second reunion, this time with our kids (potential PDSers, class of 2026)…after three days together, there was a tearful goodbye amongst the junior set. There’s nothing quite like old friends! In other news, Mrs. H’s artistic inspiration 25 years ago amongst the film and the fixer, has remained a part of me. This summer, I was awarded “Best of Show” in a juried photo exhibit at the Palm Beach Photographic Institute in Palm Beach, Florida.

Sometime around Thanksgiving, we’ll have a chance to see Jeremy Rabb in theaters nationally in the upcoming Spike Jonze feature, Her, starring Scarlett Johansson and Joaquin Phoenix. “I’m also very excited about performing a role I’ve wanted to play for many years: Clov in Beckett’s Endgame,” he wrote. “It opens this fall at a wonderful repertory theater in Pasadena called A Noise Within, so if you happen to be on the lower west side (of California), come check it out.”
