Photography Evening

Light Drawing

Year 8 students had the chance to take part in some light drawing ran by Mrs Rathod this term, in which they produced some amazing photography work using a dark room, lights and a long camera exposure.

The students worked together, moving a light source whilst taking a long exposure photograph to “draw” in the air, a technique that has been practiced since 1889! Students created drawings of stars, hearts, outlines of themselves and “Our Lady’s”. Other year groups should look out for the next photography evening, as spaces filled up fast and a great time was had by all.
