Strange fruit

Oil painting/paper mache; mixed media 70 x 123 x 50 cm Titi is working as a costume designer for the Paris theater stage. He likes to mix different techniques in his art work. At this year´s Pride Art, he is exploring the feeling of fear and apprehension so often present when we encounter something new, unusual or strange, and the process of accepting the other. He explores this ambivalence in a series of paintings called «Disturbing Portraits». In his art he is seeking to understand our phobias and how difficult it is to respect and embrace one another, physically, intellectually, or sexually.
