Fineart Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta 315 g, montert på syrefri skumplate, 5 mm; innrammet med museumsglass 70 x 100 cm Born in 1983 in France, Marc Kiska currently lives in Norway. As a teenager, he writes his first short stories. At twenty, and looking to illustrate his writings, he turns towards photography and makes it his profession. A not categorizable photographer, he constantly refines the nuances of his art, between sensuality and violence, poetry and mystery. His favorite photographic and literary subject is adolescence: its quest for freedom and authenticity, and its ultimate failure in opposing conformism’s pressure. In 2017, Marc publishes «Alice’s Relics» («Les Vestiges d’Alice», Tabou Editions), his first novel, for which he is awarded the 2017 Gay Novel Prize in France. The novel now completes his body of internationally published photographs, as well as a first Artbook, Outlandish /ROOM/ published by the artist himself in 2014. This year, the Artbook’s latest edition, expanded with fifty additional unpublished pieces, was released by Editions Abstractions.
