A delegation from the MU Varna took part in the 4th Southwest European conference on homeopathy, infections and cancer, which took place in Istanbul from 14th-1st of November, 2013. Prof. Dr. Krasimir Metodiev ( Department of Preclinical and Clinical Science), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikola Kolev and Dr. Anton Tonev (Department of General and Operative Surgery), Assoc. Prof Dr. Georgi Klyochkov ( Department of Neurosurgery and ENT Diseases), and Dr. Assia Konsoluva (Department of Propaedeutic of Internal Diseases) gave a total of seven plenary lectures. Prof. Metodiev, Assoc. Prof. Kolev and Assoc. Prof Klyochkov were also representatives of the symposium in the ϐ Ǥ The forum was attended by top specialists from over 16 countries, including Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, and Bulgaria. The delegation from the MU Varna took part in the meetings of the executive bureau of ISC and FESCI, where a plan for the next conferences in Bled, Slovenia in 2014, and Thessaloniki, Greece in 2015, was discussed. Upon suggestion by Prof. Metodiev, general secretary of FESCI, the executive bureau of ISC and FESCI decided to include Assoc. prof. Nikola Kolev in the ISC work group on surgical infections, and Assoc. Prof. Georgi Kyochukov and Dr. Assia Konsoluva in the ISC group of oncology.

A five -star Student Celebration, which will be remembered for a long time 8th of December is long gone, but the festive mood of the holiday remains strong among students, especially among those who participated in the largest Student Celebration, organized by the students. With thanks to the Academic Board of the Medical University of Varna and the Students’ Union, nearly 730 students of the University were immersed in a unique atmosphere that was, especially prepared by the hosts - Grand Hotel “International”, Golden Sands. ϐ ʹͲǣͲͲ ǡ guests had the opportunity to enjoy the festive arrangement in line with the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. Shortly after the dinner the Chairman of the Students’ Union Boris Andonov introduced the evening by welcoming all guests and thanking the entire team that helped the project. In order to satisfy the musical desires of all guests, not one but three DJ-s, including the infamous DJ Happy, took care of the celebration and kept ϐ Ǥ The team of the Students’ Union assures you that they will make this type of student celebration a tradition , promising to become more and more spectacular with every year!
