Autoprint launches Checkmate 25 at Pamex 2020

The Longhua Die Cutting Machine presented for the first time in India at Pamex.

Autoprint launched Checkmate 25 at the recently concluded Pamex 2020 at Bombay Exhibition Centre. A smaller version of its successful Checkmate 50, the new machine targets the need of manufacturers who want to address smaller carton sizes of less than 250 mm.

The new carton inspection system adds a new chapter in the success story of proven Checkmate 50 with already over 40 installations domestically and internationally. Autoprint noted that 90 percent of jobs that Checkmate 50 inspected in India belonged to pharmaceutical industry and were of less than 250 mm in size. The new Checkmate 25 will prove a viable solution for this segment.

The machine is equipped with three cameras and can run at up to 250m/min. speed. The machine inspects cartons based on standards set by the customer, segregating the good and rejected cartons.

Apart from the Checkmate 25, the Longhua Die Cutting Machine was presented for the first time in India at Pamex at Hall No. 1, Stall No. E-03. Longhua is represented in India by Autoprint.

Autoprint also had live demo of its Fine Coat 80. Autoprint Fine Coat 80 is an offline sheetfed Flexo Rotary Automatic UV and Aqueous Coater with UV and IR Dryer. It can perform Full or Flood coating, Spot coating and Spot-not window coating of both UV based and water based (Aqueous) coatings. It is equipped with 3 roller coating system including Chrome plated Anilox Roller and doctor blade similar to chamber doctor for better control of UV Varnish solution. It can handle minimum 60 gsm chromo art mirror coated labels and paper upto 450 gsm board of size upto 22”x32”. The maximum speed is 5000 sheets per hour. Other machines on live demo was the Autoprint Repetto 80 automatic sheet-fed flat bed die punching and creasing machine; and the Knight NX single colour offset and non-woven bag printing machine.

APL Machinery showcases Made in India LED UV

Pamex 2020 proved a great platform to showcase products and maintain their social presence for APL Machinery, according to Vibhati Paul, Sales Executive Export. “To an extent our aim has been accomplished,” Vibhati notes. “Let us hope for an amazing year ahead, better than the last one in terms of scaling up more with success, growth and joy.”

The best part of APL’s showcase at Pamex was their made in India LED. Vibhati explains, “The best part of our stall was that the idea to showcase our LED which is purely made in India was fulfilled. The aim was to let people

and the industry know that LED UV can be manufactured in India as well. Our LED UV was our star product at the show.”

APL received a very positive response at Pamex. “The show was full of hot prospects. We would want to continue exhibiting in Pamex, everytime it is happening,” concludes Vibhati.

AGS Sample Maker wins quite a few orders at Pamex

The star products of Advanced Graphic Systems were the Sample Maker and the X-rite & DI Solutions for Press Automation and Closed Loop Control.

For Advanced Graphic Systems (AGS) the Pamex has always been a good show and this time was no less. Last year didn’t show good buying sentiment in the industry but this year, Vishnuu R Kamat, Sr. Vice President, AGS, is pretty sure the economy will boost. “We are very optimistic that we will see a change in the buying pattern of the industry this year. The start of the year has been good,” he says.

AGS closed a good no of orders at Pamex 2020. “Our products are such that decisions don’t happen so quickly; but we closed quite a few orders for the Sample Maker that we have been selling for about 6 years now. Post Pamex I am sure the numbers will surely increase for all our products,” adds Vishnuu.

“Our location this time was very nice just opposite to the registration counter which helped us catch the attention of the prospective buyers and the layout done by us was the icing on the cake,” he continues.

Vishnuu saw the irregular flow of visitors had its toll on the business of the show. He perceives that the footfall showed a lot of ups and downs during the span of the show. “The 1st day was pretty bleak while the 2nd and 3rd was good and again the last day was down,” he observes suggesting, “Probably the organisers should try to have a steady flow of customers for all the days; this will allow us to concentrate on every customer 100%.”

Konica Minolta conducts live demos of latest production printing presses

At the PAMEX 2020 show the company receives good response for the award winning Varnishing and Foiling solution – MGI JETvarnish 3DS.

PAMEX is one of the biggest industry events for print and allied machinery sectors. It brings together leading national and international print and printing businesses, OEMs, and solution providers and is always an exciting event to attend. PAMEX 2020 also saw a host of next-generation technologies, products, and other offerings being showcased.

The event was a great success for Konica Minolta India. It conducted live demonstrations of several stateof-the-art production printing presses from the AccurioPress series, including AccurioPress C6100/6085, AccurioPress C3070/3070p/3080, and AccurioPress 6120/6136. “We also highlighted how print businesses can reduce print waste while delivering industry-leading productivity and superlative print quality with the IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Optimiser, an optional add-on that takes colour consistency and registration accuracy to the next level,” says Mr. Manish Gupta, National Marketing Manager – Production Printing & Industrial Printing, Konica Minolta India.

On the industrial printing front, Konica Minolta received a good response for the MGI JETvarnish 3DS, an award-winning Varnish and Foiling solution. “We are looking to translate this interest into tangible business for the Konica Minolta brand and its customers in India,” highlights Manish.
