“Pamex has always been a good experience for Komori where we do get to connect with customers and introduce our solution bases products,” says Sangam Khanna of Komori, which was focusing its flagship GL 37+C at the show. “It’s been good but only the focused customers visited us this time,” he adds

He sees the current year better than the last year for Komori, as “the needs of the customers are transforming – instead of buying products they now focus of solutions and total solutions from end-toend,” according to Sangam.

Komori secured eight orders at the Pamex show. The details of the deals will be revealed after completion of all the formalities, says Sangam.

He is of the view that the best thing about Pamex was the quality of visitors who were very focused. “The quality of visitors helped us establish the real need of the customers. It was really exciting to see that the customer came with his home work done before Pamex,” emphasises Sangam.

Komori GL 37+C was their star product. “The GL 37+C is now getting high in Demand for its cost effectiveness in Packaging Solutions, Publishing and Commercial. To address all the three verticals of offset print, this was a good success and we hope to close many orders in this size,” reveals Sangam, who however missed the competition at the show as Komori was the only Offset manufacturer participating from the vertical.

Scodix Ultra Pro with Foil: The star attraction at Monotech’s stand

Monotech sold two Xerox Iridesse units at the event and received decent leads for Scodix and the short-run label press i.e. JETSCI ColorAqua.

Monotech Systems’ Pamex 2020 stand remained crowded on all days of the show. “I must say Pamex 2020 was quite successful for us,” says Akash Kumar, Senior Manager – Marketing & Communications, Monotech Systems. “The show was extremely good for us. In fact, we were passive as far as expectation from the show is concerned considering the current economic situation in mind, but response was encouraging. We got a good number of leads and people showed interest in investing in the right technology. This edition of Pamex was much better than the previous edition in terms of footfall,” he adds.

Speaking of the last year performance and expectations for the present, he says, “We have achieved modest growth this year mainly because of the economic slowdown in the country. However, the company may register a better turnaround in Q4, which usually is the highest-grossing quarter. We stay positive and anticipate that the new financial year would be better.”

Displaying unique and high value products draw an attention of serious buyers and that differentiated Monotech Systems as a trusted brand from other participants and competition. “Experimenting with the launch of a label product in a commercial and digital show delivered us a good mileage,” says Akash.

Apart from the JETSCI ColorAqua, the star attraction at Monotech’s stand was the Scodix Ultra Pro with Foil. Explaining more about the digital print enhancement capabilities of Scodix, Akash points out that Digital print enhancement is becoming

a prominent subject of discussion for various companies in the printing industry. People realize that it provides a good business opportunity now. “We also feel that over a period of time, embossing and foiling will predominantly become digital. This transformation will give a new set of opportunities for people. For most of the commercial printers across the country, a huge opportunity for growth lies either in digital or in the packaging industry. This is the right time for commercial printers to diversify and explore the digital and packaging segments in order to survive and grow,” he concludes.
