There’s no swimming in the lake, and the only boats permitted are rentals available at the park store, where you can also pick up bait, tackle and fishing licenses. DAY CAMPS Kids need something fun and educational to do during the day. The county offers many summer camps that would certainly satisfy this requirement.
Quail Hollow Ranch County Park camps, 800 Quail Hollow Road, in Felton County parks will have a pair of two-week-long day camps for kids this summer. First is the historically-themed Time Travelers Summer Day Camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from July 9 to 20, where campers will experience the past through activities, games and food. The park will also host the Science Sleuth’s Summer Day Camp from July 30 to Aug. 10, where students have a chance to discover the natural world through many scientific disciplines.
