Swiss Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

In reference to tent structures, the Swiss Pavilion’s structure will be covered by textiles. This makes the Pavilion very easy to setup and dismantle. In terms of construction, operation and maintenance, the Pavilion acknowledges the Expo’s overarching theme of sustainability. The core structure blends tradition and innovation, evokes affinities between the East and the West. The visitor experience is based on a hike through Switzerland. As visitors walk through the Pavilion, they encounter and experience specific Swiss values as well as Switzerland’s proposed solutions and innovations for a sustainable future. The experience is staged in three acts, each act representing a core theme: «red carpet», «the show», and «the city of opportunities». Furthermore, the rooftop terrace will offer the visitors the chance to experience the tradition of Swiss hospitality and the quality of Switzerland as a global meeting place while enjoying an amazing panoramic view from the viewing platform as well as typical Swiss «häppli» (light bites) available at the rooftop bar.
