THE TIME IS NOW 2022 HIGHLIGHTS

1. Created improved access to Flu/ COVID-19 vaccines and boosters in collaboration with a local pharmacy.

2. Numerous individuals were nominated and selected to receive various awards and other recognitions (staff, Board members and others).

3. PVM was recognized as a “top performing” organization by Caring Communities.

4. Successfully opened Facilities Advancement projects with new technology applications being included; Harbor Inn, The Birches, etc.

5. PVM’s decision to absorb the 10% increase in healthcare insurance premiums for staff members.

6. Building a strong bench of staff members to position PVM well into the future.

7. PVM Foundation raised more than $32 million over the past five years.

8. Enhanced federal and state advocacy efforts that resulted in significant funding provided to PVM.

9. Greater and more effective collaboration and team work between Villages and Home Office.

10. Continued active representation on the Michigan State Dementia Coalition.

11. Improved staffing, building the leadership team at Perry Farm Village, making it a great place to work (several new team members).

12. Carepredict technology successfully implemented at McFarlan Home.

13. 2019 had been the best SNF census ever at East Harbor, 2022 surpassed that record!

14. New relationships with the Inkster Housing Commission and Flint Housing Commission, and Independent Living for PACE participants at Village of Westland.

15. Successful summer enrichment program (SEP) internship experiences.

16. Strengthened PVM system-wide governance; recruitment and orientation of new board members, transitions of Committee chairs, etc.

17. FitchRatings reaffirmed the PVM OG rating.

18. Held several special events and media opportunities/press conferences.

19. Strengthened advocacy in Lansing and Washington DC assisted by relationships with the Midwest Strategy Group and Dykema.

20. The Birches successful construction, adult foster care licensing, and opening.

21. Strengthened training and education on various technologies; security cameras, etc.

22. Completed and secured approval for an updated PVM system-wide Strategic Plan.

23. Settlement of a dispute with April Housing (Oakland Woods) resulted in a very favorable outcome for the Village, PVM and was beneficial to the broader affordable housing field.

24. Witnessing Geering Drive and Esther’s Way come to completion and leading to additional philanthropic support.

25. to reduce the spread of the COVID and other airborne viruses.

26. Weinberg Green House occupancy remained high; selection of new Green House guide.

27. Campaign for the Ages progress; planning for expanded affordable housing at Court Street, Westland, Oakland Woods, and Lake Huron Woods.
