Charity cheque presentation in Cookstown First Cookstown Bowling Club presented £420 to John Brown of Superstars Club. The money was raised at the annual bowlers service, and the presentation was made by Jack Moore (treasurer), Keith Hamilton (chairman) and other members of the club.

Retirement in Magheramason
Ruth Glendinning (right) is presented with a picture and a devotional book to mark her 40 years as a Sunday school teacher in Saltersland Presbyterian. Eileen Gilmour (left) received a picture and a Bible to mark her 30 years as a Sunday school teacher and 20 years as Sunday school superintendent. The pictures are the work of local textile artist, Andrea Hayes, and the presentations were made by Rev. Martin Gracey, minister of the Co. Tyrone church.
Walter Hoy (centre) has retired after 29 years in his role as clerk of session in Magheramason. Walter’s diligent service to Christ was celebrated and commended by Rev. Graeme Orr (minister of the Londonderry church) during a recent service of worship. Mr. Hoy was presented with a gift from the congregation in recognition of his humble, faithful service within and outside the church. Marina Huey’s 50 years of service in Armoy Presbyterian Church choir was marked recently when she was presented with a certificate by Rev. Noel McClean (clerk of presbytery). Looking on is Ann Campbell (clerk of session in the Co. Antrim church).
Castlederg GB badge work The senior girls of newly-formed First Castlederg Girls’ Brigade provided a fivecourse meal in the church hall as part of their badge work. They are pictured with their officers and invited guests, who included Rev. Robert Orr and his wife as well as parents and friends.
