BEM awarded Peela Gamble, a member of Lisbellaw Presbyterian Church and former church organist, is pictured with her four sons, Desmond, Paul, David and Stuart, at the presentation of her BEM at Hillsborough Castle. The award was presented to Mrs. Gamble for her services to the local community in Fermanagh. The medal was presented by Lord Brookeborough.
Retirement in High Kirk Anne Taylor has retired after 27 years in her role as Director of Pastoral Care in High Kirk, Ballymena. She is pictured with Dr. Russell Birney (minister emeritus) and Rev. Norman Cameron.
Christmas market in Lisburn First Lisburn Company Boys’ Brigade (affiliated to Railway Street Presbyterian Church) held its annual ‘pop up’ Christmas market in the church hall. In addition to the various market stalls, there was morning tea, coffee and scones on offer and also a great selection of food available for snacks and lunch. Bessbrook long service Presentations were made recently to long-serving members of Bessbrook Presbyterian Church choir. Rev. Keith McIntyre presented special treble cleft brooches to six ladies and clerk of session Danny Kennedy paid tribute to the recipients, as well as recalling the long history of the choir and the positive contribution made by its members to the congregation over many years.
