Discover the change on Roebuck Bay

Discovery Parks – Broome is undergoing an exciting transformation to become one of WA’s favourite holiday parks.

Known for its uninterrupted views of Roebuck Bay, laid-back atmosphere and beachfront location, Discovery Parks – Broome can now add a familyfriendly lagoon swimming pool to its long list of holiday features.

SELLING SUNSET…

Well established in Broome as a highly sought-after camping spot, a multi-milliondollar investment by Discovery Parks’ parent company G’day Group is bearing fruit in the park.

Designed to bring a new level of comfort to every guest experience, one thing that won’t need improving is the view. Even the newly opened pool, which includes a shallow-entry play zone for families, makes great use of the park’s location.

Views from poolside are nothing short of sensational, especially during sunset, and offers a prime viewing spot for the annual

Staircase to the Moon phenomenon, which occurs from April to October right in front of the park.

Not forgetting to erect shaded seating and lounge areas, the pool has already become another social hub in an already friendly park. According to management, the pool areas’ relaxed design will come into its own during the wet season, when the beach is often closed for swimming.

MORE TO COME!

G’day Group’s $15 million investment plan also includes two new amenities blocks and an improved reception area for guests' convenience, both near completion by December 2023. Plus, by October 2023, the park expects to welcome 30 new deluxe cabins, several pool-view studio cabins, and a number of safari-style glamping tents — each with its own private balcony.

Recognising the opportunity for investment to refresh the in-park experience, many of the changes add resort-style luxury. However, those who prefer to pitch their own tent or park up in their campervan have not been forgotten.

Additional ensuite campsites will improve what is one of the most in-demand areas of the park — the water’s edge — where rolling out the foldable chairs and enjoying the million-dollar view has always been a popular pastime.

THINGS TO DO AT DISCOVERY PARKS – BROOME

Discovery Parks – Broome offers so much for visitors whether you’re going further or not. Known as a gateway to the entire Kimberley region and a first or last stop on one of Australia’s most famous road trips.

With direct beach access and a free-to-use boat ramp, there are endless days of sundrenched fun in close proximity to the park.

The annual Staircase to the Moon phenomenon is visible from inside the grounds, and there are dozens of nature-based tours and outdoor adventures to explore.

Cable Beach Camel Tours is an icon of the Kimberley; numerous ocean charters will take you diving or fishing to the Dampier Archipelago, and there are scenic flights to book over the stunning Eighty Mile Beach.

Animal lovers enjoy discovering the nearby Broome Bird Observatory, Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park is not to be missed, and there are dinosaur footprints at Cable Beach’s Gantheaume Point!

Direct Beach Access

Alternatively, as the only holiday park in Broome with its own direct beach access, it’s just as nice to take a load off, take a dip in the sea (and the new lagoon pool) and make use of facilities like an onsite kiosk or camp kitchen while you get some laundry done.
